First I would like to welcome everyone to my blog and hope you enjoy my posts. I must say that I am not very good when it comes to relaxation, I cannot even relax during a massage (which I love). There has been one time in my life that I fully relaxed and that was during a facial and let me tell she put me to sleep. When I listened to the Journey on Relaxation, I laid on my couch and had the computer on my stomach. I fully intended to give the relaxation technique a fair chance, so I got completely comfortable and opened my mind. Well half way into his very soothing words my dog barked and I realized that I had fallen asleep to his words, so I think it is safe to say that yes he relaxed me completely. I was truly amazed and really want to download this onto my phone and use him for sleeping instead of medications. I would recommend using him to relax when needed, but I do believe opening your mind to the possibility of it really working is the key.

I know how it is to not feel as if you can every completely relax!!! Even when I am laying down to go to bed, it takes me forever to completely relax and to get my brain to “shut off.” I too can’t relax when getting massages, it just isn’t in my nature (yet). I commend you on trying to give this technique a “fair chance” and am glad to see that it worked well for you.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud when you said you fell asleep listening to his voice! But I will say, when I am relaxed, my mind drifts to less stressful thoughts, not necessarily going to sleep. But with the workload lately, sleep is a welcome change!
